The Christian home is a center of worship: Bible-centred worship of God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; they show reverence to God in all aspects of their lives, they obey Jesus as Lord, and the Bible is their Magna Carta. They have set time for individual and family devotion and worship. And they join other believers in fellowship and worship in a Bible-believing church that “preaches Christ crucified”. The church in the Home is the pillar of the church in the Church. The Christian family lives in obedience to Christ and its members especially are committed to the duties and responsibilities of its members as Christian in general and husband, wife, children, and household in particular as commanded by the word of God such as in Eph. 5:21- 6:9, Joshua 1:8.
- The Christian Home is an abiding place of total Love: Agape among all, philos or friendship towards one another, affectionate amongst them, courting and romantic sexual love between the spouses.
- The Christian Home is a place of good governance: Practice creates a climate of good governance and socialization. There we have a society in a microcosm with hierarchy, team spirit, and servant leadership in practice.
- The Christian Home is a school of Learning: God and his rules for living in the Bible (Jos. 1:18, Ps 119), godly culture, critical thinking, problem-solving, personal organization, personal financial management, time management, disciplines of life, wisdom, discretion, insight, understanding knowing that the wisdom comes from the fear of God.
- The Christian Home is a laboratory of work with heart, head, and hands.
- The Christian Home is a fountain of divine Provision: it is the primary divinely and humanly appointed channel to meet the physical needs of members. (Note that (i) above relates to spiritual needs, others … for social needs.
- The Christian is a den of Protection – under the blood, name, and word from: – Self (Selfishness, “Me, I, Myself”, living), culture, satanic attacks by covering members with the blood and name of Jesus, putting on the armor of God and “standing”.
- The Christian Home is a springboard for service to God, Family, and Country
- The Christian Home Is a legacy-building institution.
- The Christian Home is a divine outpost on earth – “Christ’s Embassy” (Bethel). – Both a state and a discipline.
